Props

Due to my group selecting Powerade as our product our main prop will be a Powerade bottle. We will also be utilizing a soccer ball and goal.

 Costumes

We will only be using two costumes in our commercial. Our first costume is regular street attire which includes shorts, shirt, socks, and running shoes, to display a casual look. Our second outfit will be a soccer uniform consisting of a jersey, shorts, headband, and cleats. 

Schedule

9/23/21-Our group researched conventions and codes of Powerade commercials. Also we formulated a plan for the props, costumes, schedule, location list, and backup plan.

9/27/21-Our group will generate a storyboard for our commercial.

10/1/21-First Day of Filming, get a feel for the location and make last changes.

10/5/21-Last day of filming, finalize and record last scenes and reshoot bad takes.

10/7/21-Begin editing and establish the order of the scenes and add overlays.

10/11/21-Finish editing and Submit, we will add transitions and make the commercials feel seamless.

10/13/21-CCR/Reflection, reflect on project and what we could have done better and need to improve upon for next film.

Location list

 Our first location is the media center stairwell. This stairwell is where we will introduce the product and main character along with building tension amongst the audience.

Our second location will be the soccer pitch, this is where the main character will juggle, dribble, and kick a soccer ball. This scene will transition into the outro. 

Backup Plan

Due to the potential for harsh weather and conditions, my group will arrange the order of scene filmings by weather rather than a rigid schedule. If there are extremely bad weather conditions on both days, we will shorten the duration of the shot on the field and film the scene on the grass in between room five in the auditorium. If the conditions do not a lot for that as well, we will replace the scene complete with the main actor lacing their cleats.

  First Scene The main male and female character will enter the clubhouse room as camera tracks them from the front. In this shot the camera will be eye level. The characters will be picture wearing trendy streetwear. This scene will correspond with the instrumental opening of the song. Genre Re-Adjustment: Project Blog

   Our group realized minor flaws in our film as we continue through this production process. The biggest issue that has come to surface is that our genre isn't represented as well as we thought it was going to be. I did not think this was going to be an issue at the start. In fact, I thought the mystery genre was the perfect fit. As I am watching how the production is unfolding, it seems as if our problem is that we can't necessarily get the feel of a true mystery film in our 2 minute clip. This means, our film's conventions don't completely align with those of a real mystery. I still believe that it can fit the genre, but giving it the title of a mystery-thriller would be more fitting. The camera angles and movements used in our film are those typically used in mystery films. For example, we use extreme close-ups on objects to provide a mysterious feel about them. Our Pitch

A person receives a briefcase and is unaware of its contents, unbeknownst to him he is being followed.          This pitch has great potential because of its ability to harness the unknown and be action packed in a short period of time. The pitch also conforms well to the settings we have available due to our access to the urban setting. Furthermore this pitch doesn't require props inaccessible to the group making it a great candidate. However, this pitch struggles with a lack of dialogue and it will be difficult to facilitate conversation throughout. I believe that despite this the pitch's positive aspects outweigh the negative ones because its exciting and is mysterious. A natural disaster knocks out the power in a city, forcing an evacuation but for one man something goes wrong.     This pitch has potential for success because the story presented has a lot of versatility and can go in many ways.
