doing some research

For this project my group is making a music video for the song Maps by Maroon 5. For research I looked at the real music video for Maps. Looking at the music video it was heart wrenching and told a story of love. I then looked at some other music video created by Maroon 5. All of the music videos had a theme or story, so I want the music video to have a story too. The costumes in the music videos were vey elaborate and fitted the location it was shot at. There were a lot of different camera angles that make the music video more fun and enjoyable. When they sing in the music video it's lip singing, but it looks like they actually are singing. The edits used in the music videos are more fun and creative then what I usually see. There was a lot of different props and materials to make each scene more fun. Throughout most of the videos it's only the song, but there are some parts where there is dialogue and other sound effects. I looked at some hit music videos from some other song artists. They all had a theme that fit some part of the song. A  lot of the music videos had close up shots. I noticed a lot of dancing and different choregraphed movements. There were many camera movements and most of the music videos started with an establishing shot. Almost all of the music videos had multiple locations. There were also a lot of different outfit and costume changes. Through all of my research I have collectively concluded that music videos are made to be enjoyable and fun for the viewers. I will plan on including most of the different kinds things I have found through my research.
