Get To Know Me

I am Felipe Lopez and I am a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am enrolled into the AICE Cambridge program and am currently working towards my AICE diploma. Many people say they admire my work ethic and how I put my all into everything I do. Also, people would describe me as a guy who is pretty quiet, funny, and very empathetic. While all that is good, I love to play football as well because it allows me to free my mind and ball with the people I love. I started playing when I was very young because my dad is Mexican and they love soccer. So, he would take me to the park and we would mess around until I was about 7 and then I started playing competitively. I was improving rapidly and so I knew that I could be really good as long as I consistently trained. I did so, and now I play for my high school soccer team. Although, I do not play other sports but I love watching a lot of them. I am crazy about sports and very passionate about my favorite teams. While I do love sports, I started realizing I need to open up my mind and start having other interests. Therefore, I decided to take AICE Media Studies because I thought it would be cool to learn the film-making process and try it for myself. I mean, I sit around and watch movies anyways so I might as well try to make a skill out of it. After completing 2 projects I have improved all aspects so much but mainly my acting and editing. I do edit in Imovie, but I figured out how to apply green screen affects and unique transitions for my music video and my Powerade commercial. As an example, I was able to display a Powerade logo animation to the end of my commercial. When it comes to acting, I used to be very stiff and worry too much about how I would look on camera. I realized I need to be relaxed so it seems natural and I did just that. On camera my facial expressions and body language are much improved from the perspective of how relaxed I look.
