Start of Filming: Production Blog
I woke up and got the briefcase, car, and costumes ready for filming. One of our actors couldn't make it to my house today to film. So, I filmed a couple scenes that did not require his presence. The very first shot I took was the establishing shot. I stood on the street that has a clear view of my building and took the shot. Next, I got my groupmate Noah to drive Yousev into the parking garage. I did this so I could get an extreme long shot of the car coming into the building. Then, I got my friend Dartamian to go up to the 5th floor of the parking garage. This is where I took a medium shot of him collapsing onto the floor with the briefcase. While I was doing this, Noah and Yousev were going up the parking garage in the car. This would set up the next scene very well because everything flowed smoothly. Once Dartamian fell, I got my friend Alex to film the part where I am acting. So, I give him the camera and tell him to do an over-the-shoulder shot of me walking into the parking garage and seeing Dartamian on the floor collapsed. Then, I told Alex to do a close-up on Dartamian's face as he becomes conscious. Next, Dartamian starts telling me what to do with the briefcase. As I'm listening to him, the car approaches with Yousev and Noah inside. I tell Alex to get a mid-range shot of me running as Yousev gets out of the car. Then, since I'm finished with my acting for a little bit I come back to help shoot the next clip. I take the camera and get a middle-close up on Yousev searching for the briefcase. However, we could not film any further because Yousev had to be home so he could get ready to swim.
