Final Filming Day: Production Blog
Today was a very productive day for me, I finished all the filming necessary for the film. The first scene they shot today was me running into the elevator and panicking to close the door. Then, I shot Yousev running to the elevator after me trying to get into it. Even though the scene was done I didn't stop recording and I told him to just run to the stairs and start going up because I figured it would look better as a continuous shot. Next, Dartamian filmed me in the elevator exchanging words with Noah which lead to me running out of the elevator and to the stairs. So, we cut the cameras and then made sure Yousev and I were set up properly for the scene where he sees me entering the stairs. Dartamian films that scene and tracks me and Yousev running down the hallway because I am trying to avoid him. In the next scene, Yousev is supposed to chase me up the stairs to the roof. So, Dartamian starts filming and then he slips and falls so we have to do another take. But, he gets the next take perfectly and now we only have a couple scenes left. In the next scene, Noah films me and Yousev as we approach the doorway to the roof. I'm running away from Yousev and exit through the rooftop door but realize I have nowhere to go. Then, Yousev comes out after me and corners me because he knows I have no escape. Next, Yousev and I start arguing about the contents of the briefcase and then he pins me against the wall. The scene ends there and I walk over to the edge of the roof and film a POV shot as if I am jumping off the roof even though I am not. Then, I grab a waterproof case for the phone and give it to Noah so he can get the camera set up in the pool for the last scene we have to shoot. So, once he was ready I jump into the pool to make it seem like I jumped from the roof. That was it for the filming part of the project, I was very proud of the group and myself for being able to cram a lot of filming into 3 hours and get it all done. Now, we have to edit the footage and piece it together. Lastly, we will add non-diegetic sound so it looks and feels like a real introduction to a movie.
