Music: Production Blog

There is a music production company called 14th Street Music and I reached out to them. My group was in desperate need of a suspenseful music track for the uneasy scenes of our movie. So, there was a really good suspenseful track owned by 14th Street Music. I emailed them asking for permission to use that music in our project. It had been a few days and they hadn't responded yet. I started searching for royalty-free music tracks on various websites. I did this because I didn't know how long it was going to take 14th street music to get back to me. It's hard to find royalty-free quality suspenseful music so that is another reason I reached out to 14th Street Music. However, They got back to me in about a week and they denied my request. Luckily, I was prepared and had my backup music ready. I am going to use "1 hour of suspenseful music" by "oldstuff4all". This is a great track because it has various tempos and pitches throughout. That is good because if I need to use it in a high-intensity suspense scene then I can. Also, if my scene is on the slower paced side, like if someone is hiding from a criminal, it contains low paced music as well. As well as suspenseful scenes. my movie has thrilling scenes that are fast-paced and action filled. Therefore, I also needed to look for thrilling/action music. I was searching on YouTube and found a really good track from "Epic Music World". It is royalty-free and is similar to the suspenseful track in the sense that it provides a lot of variety. Which means that I can use multiple different suspenseful and thrilling audio clips by only using 2 tracks.
